DE MARKTHAL

Rotterdam is the proud owner of the first real and sustainable market hall in The Netherlands. The construction started at the end of 2009. On October 1, 2014 the market hall was officially opened by her Majesty Queen Maxima.

The market hall is the first covered market floor in The Netherlands. A spot for good food and unique living in a spectacular bow. The building has a special shape, certainly the inside. Artist Arno Coenen created the greatest work of art in the world: ‘the Horn of Plenty’. In addition to the impressive interior there are 96 market stalls and 20 shops and restaurants.

On May 19, 2015 during the PROVADA in Amsterdam, the BREEAM-NL completion certificate Very Good has been awarded to Provast.
