DC Amsterdam West is a modern distribution center of approximately 20,000 m², located at Business Park Polanen Park along the A200, just east of Haarlem. Thanks to its strategic location, the business park offers excellent visibility and accessibility—ideal for logistics users.
Designed by Architectenlab, the building is suitable for up to four tenants, with three units currently still available. The design smartly accommodates nearby high-voltage power lines, resulting in a long, distinctive building shape.
Sustainability and ecology are key elements of this project. The distribution center features a 4-meter-wide moss-sedum roof, nesting boxes for swifts, and insect hotels. Additionally, it is one of the first buildings in the Netherlands to incorporate a battery system that stores part of the energy generated by over 3,500 solar panels for use during periods of lower solar yield.
C2N is involved as project manager, overseeing the process until the expected completion in October 2024.
