In De Lier,the state-of-the-art Breeding Technology Centre (BTC) of Dümmen Orange has beenestablished. With an area of 4,000 m² spread across three floors, this researchcenter is one of the largest and most advanced laboratories for ornamentalhorticulture worldwide. Here, specialists work on the future of flowers andplants, focusing on genetics, phytopathology, genomics, and plant physiology.
The BTCplays a crucial role in the strategy of Dümmen Orange, a global market leaderin ornamental crop propagation material, with over 7,700 employees and annualrevenues of approximately 360 million euros.
C2N servedas the project manager and project supervisor throughout the entire developmentand realization of the building. The construction was successfully completedand delivered in the first half of 2020. Combining high-quality laboratorytechnology with an inspiring work environment, the BTC stands as an example offunctional and future-oriented new construction.
