The Imaging Center (IC) at VUmc is an ambitious project aimed at maintaining the hospital's leadership in medical imaging. The construction of the new IC is intended to realize three core objectives: synergy, flexibility, and sustainability. Physically bringing together the various imaging disciplines is the first step toward content-based synergy between departments.
The building consists of 5 above-ground floors and 2 basement levels, featuring an advanced factory shell, hot-floor shell, and modern offices. This innovative design contributes to the functional and sustainable vision of the hospital.
The project received the BREEAM-NL Design Certificate with a Very Good score on January 5, 2016. C2N served as BREEAM Assessor, supporting the project in achieving and securing its sustainability goals.
