
NewLogic III (The Tube) Named One of the Most Sustainable Logistics Buildings in the World
NewLogic III at the ‘Het Laar’ business park in Tilburg is now recognized as the second most sustainable building in the world in the ‘Industrial Building’ category. This gas-free logistics center, developed by Dokvast, received the BREEAM Outstanding Completion Certificate on May 16, 2019, with an impressive final score of 99.48%. C2N, as a BREEAM-NL Assessor, was deeply involved in the BREEAM certification process.
The building, also known as The Tube, serves as the new Dutch headquarters for Rhenus Contract Logistics. Jos Klanderman, managing director of Dokvast, which developed the building, commented: “We achieved nearly the maximum score in all categories: from management, health, and transport to waste, land use, and ecology.”
NewLogic III spans approximately 60,500 m², including about 40,000 m² of warehouse space, 4,500 m² of office space, and 16,000 m² of Value Added Logistics (VAL) space, with an additional 15,000 m² of VAL space planned for expansion. The building is characterized by its high flexibility, compartmentalized layout, high floor load capacity, 45 dock doors, and the possibility of expanding mezzanine floors. The building was taken into use by Rhenus Contract Logistics at the end of 2018.
