C2N is a consultancy firm based on Zeestraat in The Hague, supporting clients in improving the financial and sustainable performance of their real estate. We focus on practical solutions that work—today and in the future.

We advise institutional investors, governments, asset managers, developers, contractors, engineering firms, and end users. Our work spans across the Netherlands and other EU countries.

Founded in 2004 as a project management agency for internationally oriented projects, C2N expanded in 2007 to become a best-in-class sustainability consultancy. We’ve been involved in several high-profile sustainable projects.

Our services include:

  • Assessing the current state of real estate portfolios and identifying the most profitable sustainability measures
  • Preparing EED reports and conducting analyses in line with the EU Taxonomy
  • Certifying sustainable buildings using internationally recognized standards such as BREEAM, WELL, LEED, GPR Gebouw, and energy labeling
  • Technical Due Diligence (TDD) for real estate transactions

Project management for new builds, renovations, restorations, and fit-out projects

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a BREEAM Consultant.

Role Description
In this role, you will work on complex sustainability challenges that help our clients meet their environmental goals. You’ll be part of an ambitious and dynamic team, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. The role offers room to apply your expertise, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to a more sustainable built environment. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, with a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing and creative development.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team, ensuring effective collaboration and task distribution
  • Make decisions, monitor progress, and ensure your team has the tools and support to meet objectives
  • Tackle problems effectively, balancing feasibility, cost, and time constraints
  • Make informed decisions based on thorough analysis of alternatives and impacts
  • Analyze technical models, understand complex processes, and offer solutions to technical challenges
  • Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from start to finish

Your Main Activities

  • Conduct research and analysis to define the optimal sustainability strategy for real estate assets
  • Advise clients on improving the sustainability of their real estate portfolios
  • Guide clients through obtaining certifications such as BREEAM and WELL
  • Conduct on-site inspections of buildings

Your Profile

  • Broad technical knowledge and interest
  • Basic understanding of sustainable real estate certification systems
  • Passion for staying informed about developments in sustainability and ESG
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or nearing completion) in architecture, building engineering, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • Comfortable operating in an international environment
