The DHL Logistics Center in Nijmegen (Bijsterhuizen 11-27) is an advanced, temperature-controlled logistics center used for the storage of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and diagnostics for both national and international distribution. The center has various temperature zones, including 15-25°C, 2-8°C, and -20°C, as well as ULT storage rooms (-80°C).
The building underwent a thorough upgrade, including new climate systems, LED lighting, and energy-saving adjustments. The office layouts and internal electrical distribution were also updated to the latest standards, further optimizing energy efficiency.
On February 13, 2023, the building achieved the BREEAM-NL In-Use certificate with a score of Very Good. C2N fulfilled the role of BREEAM-NL In-Use Assessor for this project, contributing to the sustainability and optimization of the logistics center.
Progress starts by asking the right questions – not by offering quick answers.
From concept to completion: sustainability is the common thread.
