Greenpark Distribution Center - Aalsmeer

The Greenpark Distribution Center (Virgo Aalsmeer) is a unique, nature-inclusive logistics building of approximately 23,000 m², strategically located along the N201 in Aalsmeer. Developed by Heembouw and designed by Heembouw Architects, the building accommodates one or two tenants and features a green rooftop garden. The location offers excellent accessibility with a direct on- and off-ramp in the heart of the Randstad.

The design was developed in close collaboration with ecologists and landscape architects, with the aim of integrating the building with the local flora and fauna. The site is surrounded by flower-rich green strips, and the parking lot is designed as a semi-paved orchard. Nesting boxes for birds and bats are integrated into the building’s facades, making it an example of nature-inclusive construction.

In October 2021, the project received the BREEAM-NL Design Certificate with a "Very Good" rating. C2N was involved in the project as a BREEAM-NL Expert and was responsible for executing the commissioning tasks, ensuring that sustainability and performance were optimally secured.
