Details: Two towers connected by a plinth with amenities; BREEAM score 87.91%; completed in 2024; focus on biodiversity and energy neutrality.

The Pulse of Amsterdam is a leading mixed-use project located in the Zuidas, consisting of two prominent towers connected by a plinth with urban amenities. The project includes office spaces, housing, retail, and a cinema, designed as a sustainable urban biotope.

The vision of The Pulse shifts from human interaction at street level to greening at height. On the ground floor, a public park is established, and on the roof of the plinth, a biodiverse rooftop garden can be found. As you move higher in the towers, flora and fauna gradually take up more space, aligning the design with the principles of nature-inclusive building.

The building is nearly energy-neutral, thanks to solar panels on both the façade and the roof. The mobility plan promotes sustainable transportation, including electric shared mobility, cycling, and walking, with a parking garage primarily used for electric shared cars.

On November 29, 2019, the project received the BREEAM-NL Design Certificate with an Outstanding score of 87.91%. The Pulse was successfully completed in 2024. C2N served as the Assessor during the project.
