The new Hydra Distribution Center in Utrecht, located at the Lage Weide industrial park, combines architecture, technology, and nature in an innovative way. A standout feature of the design is the sprinkler tank, which has been repurposed as the largest permanent insect hotel in Europe. The building includes a multi-tenant industrial hall with a mezzanine, suitable for both storage and office space.
On April 16, 2022, the project achieved the BREEAM-NL New Construction and Renovation Design Certificate with a Very Good score. C2N served as the BREEAM-NL Expert and supported the realization of this sustainable and functional building.
