Four Elements Hotel — Amsterdam
Since 2004, we have been delivering sustainable and financially responsible real estate solutions. Through strategic advice and leading projects, we are shaping the future of real estate.
Key Features: Nearly zero-energy building, use of natural elements (sun, wind, water, earth), Climate Cascade and Solar Chimney for energy efficiency, innovation credits achieved.
The Four Elements Hotel, located along the shores of IJmeer in Amsterdam IJburg, is the Netherlands' first nearly zero-energy hotel. This innovative project is designed based on the Earth, Wind & Fire (EWF) concept, which optimally utilizes natural elements like sun, wind, water, and earth to make the hotel energy self-sufficient.
The three main features of the EWF concept are:
• Solar panels on the façade and roof
• Climate cascade, acting as a natural heat exchanger
• Solar chimney, a shaft that captures solar heat to warm the building and domestic hot water
These sustainable innovations have contributed to the hotel's BREEAM certification, with C2N serving as the sustainability advisor and BREEAM Expert. C2N assisted in the project by providing the necessary documentation to achieve certification.
The Four Elements Hotel not only offers a sustainable experience for guests but is also designed with water- and energy-saving devices and other sustainable features to minimize its ecological footprint.
The future of real estate lies in innovation, efficiency, and responsibility.
Where real estate meets sustainability.
