Batavia Biosciences is developing a new 12,000 m² building at the Leiden Bio Science Park. The building will house office, laboratory, and production spaces where large-scale vaccine and pharmaceutical production will take place. The design focuses on sustainability, with a gas-free building and a PV installation on the roof for sustainable energy production.
C2N served as the BREEAM-NL Expert for this project, with the goal of achieving the BREEAM Excellent certification for both the design certificate and the completion certificate. The building is being designed with the highest sustainability standards, and the BREEAM certification highlights Batavia Biosciences' commitment to an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly building.
